Let me start with the lame: Welcome to my blog.
Here I plan to provide my readers with an intimate look at my writing and by extension my life. Those of you who have found yourselves thinking along the same lines as me will know how scary that idea is. (Oh, and I plan on writing like I talk so expect frequent parenthetical statements and innumerable digressions. In the end, I’ll bring it all back around to topic. Sit back and enjoy the ride.)
Where was I? Oh, the writing. You see that link for Finding Fairyland Books (push ‘em together and put a dot com on the end) — well, it’s currently the only published writings I have. For now. With your support and readership (you being the few, the proud, the despairingly bored who have either received or purchased a copy of the above-mentioned books and/or are friends, coworkers, acquaintances, writing group members, or have simply stumbled on this site looking for the latest in [this section deleted as inappropriate] for only $4.95 per month) I will have more published. (You thought I lost it in the parenthetical didn’t you? Ha!)
What have I got in the works? Well, FF3 is almost finished on the first draft and when that is finished we’ll have a big launch signing. (As of now: June 13 at Bleau Garden. More later.) Then of course FF4 and FF5. Also I have my NaNo novel to get back to. (If you don’t know what that refers to, oh well.) And a couple of other things in the pipeline. (I plan on using all kinds of cliches that, when I was 15, I rolled my eyes at when so-called adults used them.) I’m thinking I’ll stick with the fantasy thing right now. Maybe it isn’t where the money is. Yet. But I’m enjoying it and exploring new worlds. Like what? Hints and opening lines: Wizard in suburbia; Oneirataxia; “I learned the hard way there’s nothing more dangerous or unpredictable than casting spells when you’re drunk”; “Who would have thought that dragon’s blood would eat through the hood of a ‘73 Fury?”; etc.
(If you’re keeping track, that’s 7 parenthetical statements in just over 350 words. This makes number 8.)
And I might use this spot occasionally for a rant or to try out some of those ideas for nonfiction or essays or whatever. It’s my site, my blog, and I’ll do whatever I want or I’ll just pack it up and take it home and none of you can play in my yard.
Thanks for reading.
Talk to you later.
Barry

Wow, this guy is funny and intelligent and really good looking! The women must be swooning over him! Where can I read more by him? And I hear he makes fantastic brownies and chocolate chip cookies, too! Glad I found this site!
