Where have I been? Well, if you checked out my “Appearances” page, I was at a Girls Expo at Springfield Elementary here in town. Good turn out, sold a couple of books, talked to people. That’s what it’s all about: making connections; you never know how they might pay off or pan out.
Also: I’m finishing the editing on the third Finding Fairyland installment. Right now it’s titled Finding Fairyland 3: Spring Beauties. It may end up that title at publication, it may change. The goal is to have the books in my hand by JUNE 13, 2009 for the Flushing Summer Fest. Let’s see how it all works out.
One last thing before getting back to the book: I’ll take ideas on places to promote the books, contacts to make and so on. All ideas welcome, no matter how crazy or wild. Sometimes the most riduculous is the one that works the best. Send your suggestions to poupardetc@aol.com, with the subject “fairyland promotion ideas.” If you know someone who’d be interested in selling the books for me — some specialty stores (brick and mortar or online) or someone who sells at fetivals, please connect us up.
The writing life may be solitary, but book promotion takes a lot of people with a lot of ideas and enthusiasm. Your input would be appreciated.
Now, back to that final read-through.
